ONE MORE ROUND - BU HAO CHI 10-YEAR REUNION SHOWCA
Hosted by: Temple Bar
When
Get ready for an intense foot-stomping, head-banging, liver-bursting rock ‘n’ roll orgy!
Ten years after first spewing their guts over stages across Beijing, BU HAO CHI returns for one more round. Started in late 2005 seemingly as a scam to get free beer, or possibly just a drunken idea that no one sobered up from, these four miscreants armed with an electric banjo came together to play punk rock covers of that classic American icon Johnny Cash.
Now for the first time in nearly a decade, they’re back for what, admittedly, could be a monumental disaster. For just two nights this November, the beer will flow as the band stumbles through Cash classics such as “Ring Of Fire,” “Wreck of the Old 97,” and of course “Folsom Prison Blues,” reuniting with old friends, and providing new ones with a “not very tasty” dose of the golden years of Beijing punk. The shows will also be an occasion for the re-release of their original seven-song demo on cassette tape, certainly a valuable piece of Beijing’s musical heritage or an invitation for lawsuit from Cash’s estate. Don’t miss this chance to catch BU HAO CHI for one more round.
Guest band: THE DIDERS, MOTORBIKE GIRLS and a secret band...
Special deal: buy 2 get 1 free draft beer!
