May 9th, Family-friendly Farmers

May 9th, Family-friendly Farmers' Market & BBQ at

When

This Saturday, 11 am to 3 pm, Farm to Neighbors Market will team up with Shunyi's best BBQ restaurant, CHARCOAL, to bring you the ultimate community food event @Pinnacle Plaza(behind Starbucks).

CHARCOAL will be roasting up a whole black hog from Yuangu Valley Farm the day before to prepare mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches topped with house chips as one of the hot-plate offerings for Saturday. Yuangu Valley Farm is known for raising free-range pigs, which feed on home-grown none-GMO corn, soybeans, wheat bran, alfafa and veggies - getting ample sun and a balanced diet lay the foundation of delicious and nutritious meats. The market will also offer seasonal fresh organically-grown vegetables and strawberries, artisanal French cheese, gourmet sausages, sourdough breads, homemade pies, pastries and more! For drinks, grab a chilling craft beer from Arrow Factory, or a nice pour-over coffee from award-winning coffee roaster Gospel Coffee. For kids, don't miss our favorite 100% pure fruit smoothie with watermelon and strawberries from Ginkgo Farm!

Come meet local farmers and food crafters who grow and make food with passion and love, and discover a few certified organic imported goods such as Italian pasta, tomato sauces and biodynamic Australian wines that you won't find in supermarkets. Celebrate the goodness of natural, whole foods with us at Pinnacle Plaza this Saturday, May 9th, from 11 am to 3 pm.
