Technical Death Metal entity ORIGIN gonna strike C

Hosted by: Adam Dorothea

Event Description

Formed in Topeka, Kansas in 1997, as one of the most intense and technical forces of the contemporary death metal world, ORIGIN has established their high-praised technical death metal style with 5 albums altogether. As the leader of metal’s new wave of extremity, they managed to deliver the most outstanding sound with unbelievable power within.

All this explosion began when the band completed a 4 song demo in 1998 entitled "A Coming Into Existence" and played their first show opening for SUFFOCATION in May of the same year. Highly praised by the legendary SUFFOCATION, they got the chance to share the stage with many other acts including Napalm Death, Nile and Gorguts.
After signed with Relapse Records, they entered the Studio One in Racine Wisconsin to complete its self-titled debut in 2000. This is a fullfire shot for the metal scene just because ORIGIN had risen up to a standard that’s not merely unthinkable, but also unattainable for its time.
Their sophomore release "Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas" showed their improvement with an episode of consistent technicality and intricate song-writing. This effort leads to the Summer Metal Tour with Nile, Arch Enemy and Hate Eternal. They release the 3rd album without the amazing drummer John Longstreth in 2005.
The following album "Antithesis", was released April 1st, 2008, and peaked at #21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Shortly after this release Origin was shown on MTV2’s Head Banger's Ball and launched Summer Slaughter U.S Tour with Misery Index and Abysmal Dawn.
In the year 2010 ORIGIN switched to Nuclear Blast Records and fired up with the savage 5th shot "Entity" featuring the classical trio and new frontman Jason Keyser (Skinless). Regarding the fact that so-called tech-death are becoming more and more boring, "Entity" shows that this genre has far more potentialities than fans have thought about.
For this China-gig we are looking forward to hear all your die-hard metalhead scream so prepare for their frantic hell paced grids of metal torment in the upcoming show here in Beijing!
