Sorry, it has taken so long. Here's the trailer.
Hope you like it!
I know your wearing that wig as a joke, but it makes you look younger and more confident, and I think you should consider it.
I think I will Pom; it's distinguished...
Yeah, I think anyone that's lived in BJ for any length of time will relate a bit...
I tried to donate to your Kickstarter project but it doesn't accept Paypal.
So that's one less £1 you'll have.
Sooo.... Where and when is the full movie?
The premiere is in Toronto Sep 10, but we don't have Chinese distribution just yet. We will announce it when, or rather if, we get a deal.
I remember meeting you last year, good to see your success mate, been upvoting all your links on all the social media sites.
Also, Pommie, someone did actually give us a quid yesterday, just a quid!
Pretty cool seeing lao wais doing something creative :-). When is the release date? Will there be a special viewing for us WLIBers?
I'd love to watch it even though I'm not living in China anymore. Please let us know when it's available. =)
Black Dynamite: We will have a bj viewing soon. I will let you know as soon as we know!
The quality of audio and picture is very good! Are you the make your hair longer guy?
I'm the bald guy, sadly.
If only there were some way of finding that out!
@Pavoir Sponse: There's nothing sad about being a bald guy!
Hey, I think its cool to have a movie that depicts life of expats in Beijing. I'll be in the front row at the premiere.
Repoman: Your original guess, was not far off. The film is about a somewhat delusional expat who says he is coming to China to seek his fortune, but it doesn't particularly work out for him. We didn't write it to be be hugely plot driven though.
As for what you will be seeing, well firstly it is a comedy, more specifically a mockumentary.
Mainly the film sends up a certain kind of person/expat. Someone who kinda thinks they are big shit, super smart, knows a lot about China and is successful, but ultimately is out here winging it, and trying his luck. I'm sure you know a few of those.
I'm sure the style of the humour won't be for some people, but I think it is pretty funny, and still do even now.
I enjoy a good mockumentary!
