<p>Chinese financial editorial writer:</p>
<p>This is an important position with responsibility for helping the research and editorial head in the Beijing office. This person will one day be founding The Asian Banker’s Chinese edition magazine, and will have the chance to hire Chinese assistants to help him or her. This person will be responsible for producing cutting edge research and articles on banking, finance, and economics in China using graphs, charts, and strong language. He or she will guide the direction of the magazine along side the CEO of the Asian Banker, the head editors, and the research head in Beijing.</p>
<p>This person will also be required to occasionally write research and articles in English, which will be guided and helped by the head of research in Beijing. He or she will be meeting the top Chinese bankers, Hong Kong bankers, and Taiwan bankers for interviews, meetings, and conferences and to write reports. This person must be very good with people, have strong Chinese writing skills, and must have strong English skills.</p>
<p>This role will involve:
-Setting up the Asian Banker’s Chinese edition magazine
-Guiding a small team in producing sharp and critical research about the Chinese banking system.
-Writing essays and research in Chinese for the new magazine.
- Helping make contacts throughout the banking sector
-Will work along side the Research head in Beijing and will be working closely with the staff in Singapore on financial reports, essays, and research notes and reports.
-Occasionally giving speeches at Chinese banking events, mostly in Chinese, but sometimes English.
-Attending all banking and financial conferences in Beijing, and some in Shanghai and Shenzhen </p>
<p>-A college graduate with a degree in business, journalism, finance, economics, or something related.
-Understands how to use excel, powerpoint, and word
- Strong skills in written, oral, and speaking English.
-Beijing able to speak another language is a plus</p>
