Hey guys, I'm writing an article about Lei Feng(雷锋) as fashion signs and cultral icon. Your opinion of Lei Feng will be very helpful for me to write this report.

If you are a foreigner, do you know Lei Feng? What do you think about him? Is he a selfless and modest example or forged by propaganda? Is his spirit still important in modern time? If you don't know him, have you ever seen the picture I posted? Lei Feng's imagery is printed on the T-shirt and cups, painted on the wall. Do you think that kind of hat and T-shirt is fashionable? Would you like to wear them and why? Does it represent Chinese fashion or Chinese culture to you?

If you ever took pic of Lei Feng imagery or ever dressed like Red Guards, please send your pictures to me.

Cheers

The so-called Leifeng Spirit can't really survive careful examination (historical and psychological), i.e. the stories told about him are proven to be cooked. So, Leifeng represents better the memory of a haunting totalitarian regime which could make the "dehumanized" Leifeng a national icon.

Fashion is a good place to put Leifeng, Mao or the Red Star in, anyway, they don't really belong to altars.
