Hahahahaha ... hope this helps :)
Great idea!! A book every month or two, then the group could meet to discuss it over dinner or a few drinks.
@Uncle, the administrators for clubs here, with few exceptions, hardly ever post events or organize anything. The administrators of this website should delete clubs that are eternally inactive since is makes the whole 小组 part of WLIB irrelevant.
@Cheng, count me in. PM me when/if it comes together.
Yeah, I'm not sure the original really got off the ground. I think one ran and then the girl who organised it went abroad for awhile and it didn't really start back up as far as I'm aware.
If we could get a list of people who are 100% going to read the first book and turn up for the event, then I'd be open to helping to organise it. Part of the reason this hasn't worked so far is that it's something people like the idea of, but then put off once it gets organised.
... is because you put a useless link on this forum hoping it may help @cheng with his good suggestion to actually start a book club that reads and discusses books. It didn't help. The rest was just to instigate people talking about the futility of most of the clubs on here and need for some updating. I'll post it again later in the "useless suggestions WLIB admins never heed" category.
(continued) ... heehee ... hope you are keeping up with the latest news then :)
Any news with the book club?
book is boring. how about a sex club.
(continued) ... there is obviously a strong bond or some strange chemistry between the two of you, so, for the benefit of the general audience, if you two dont plan to get married, at least, spend a few nights together like two crazily-in-love teenagers ...
Hahahahaha ... so this is just "domestic violence"?
Hahahahahaha ... Gavin would be glad ... I think?
i want some fantasy book
(continued) ... I happen to have the first 14 books of the Anita Blake series, in PDF, if you are interested ...
Books are for nerds.
i want some fantasy book
I remember you said you like Dark City, so what about this one written by Michael Ende: Momo, or the strange story of the time-thieves and the child who brought the stolen time back to the people
It seems there is also a movie
i was interested , and i saw there were adaptation for comic-book
momo seems nice too , that make me think about sth else, sth about the color of memory . but i prefer depressed genre as The Body Snatchers,
waldo is in the garden
They made a book out of that?
