I missed a whole week of work because of a potential coup. Living in a northern suburb, most of the folks I talked to were transplants from rural northern Thailand, and they were quite firmly supportive of Thaksin et al. My ex-girlfriend, a somewhat more suspicious Bangkok native,&nbsp; still sends me updates on the political situation from time to time.</p><p>I'm wondering if there are any Thai folks who would care to share their opinions about the recent elections.<br></p>
