    I bet that wouldn't be too hard to make. I'm going to try to make a very simple farmers cheese (cottage cheese or Paneer cheese or something) this weekend. I think all you have to do is boil some milk, add lemon juice, strain out the solid stuff and press it in a cheesecloth. Sounds easy enough to me...

    Quark requires some sort of bacterial culture though... looks like it's the same that is used in buttermilk. Is buttermilk available in China? I've never paid attention before.
