In a city just like Beijing, I find it nearly impossible to find a place where I can just sit down and relax alone with a book. Or my thoughts without being disturbed by people going by, construction, or whatever.

So, I find that places like Huairou or Yanqing counties have some of the only places without people. I long for those places and would love to have a little weekend getaway pad out there.

How do you find harmony and peace?

totally agree with the true harmony in city, specious harmony in forest saying...haha....
but would also like to say,
Cheng Xian Jie near lama temple is a harmony street that I would like to find my harmony.
And a really small temple called Guang Ji Si.....I love just spending one afternoon doing nothing there, siting and waiting for sunset..
