Fair enough, Sheryl. At the moment I'm job-seeking mixed in with a bit of freelancing. At various points in Beijing have been an editor at one of the expat magazines and an analyst at one of the big international banks.
Tough to say what I think about my job at this point (not having one and all . . .), but I've really enjoyed some of the stuff I've done while freelancing. Just finished the cover story for City Weekend's first issue of the year, for example, and had a great
time doing the research and the interviews to get it put together. Writing itself can be great when the creative juices are flowing, but that's only about ~10% of the time.
