UNIVERSITY NIGHT: Pickup Boxes (拾音盒), Fruit Salad (水果沙拉), Encounters, Mo and The Flyx ply their sonic wares to fickle collegiate audiences.

Mike TV: British pop-punk act kick off their China tour, with local counterparts SKO, Larry's Pizza and DH & The Chinese Hellcats as support.

New Photon Trio: Organist Christophe Lier, percussionist Jimmy Biala and the enigmatic saxophonist Nathaniel Gao perform a blend of original and jazz standards.

DIRTY PARTY: LIman (Pet Conspiracy), Sulumi and Zig Zag set to unleash frenetic electro, 8-Bit and industrial, respectively.

ABBA TRIBUTE: Last year's smash musical Mamma Mia! will be shown as a prelude to this unlikely tribute to the pop foursome, with Mama's Mud, Li Bin, Oliver and others scheduled to pay homage to their Swedish overlords. Skintight bellbottoms and shoulder pads encouraged, but not mandatory.

DH & The Chinese Hellcats: Bigger Bang! and Johnny Wadd (Italian experimental rock) open for the rockabilly cover band.

IC Girl Band: Raw classic rock from a quartet of charismatic females, with Wang Xin, China Town, emotionally brutal post-hardcore quintet A Blood Romance and others rounding out this diverse bill.

Demerit: In the top hardcore punk billing of the month, Fanzui Xiangfa*, Jason Kills (Dalian) and rising stars Overdose** will support China's premier hardcore street punk act.

Silver Ash: China's first visual kei band returns to the stage after three years, blending androgynous fashion and gaudy makeup with sounds described as "dark and gorgeous."

BEFORE PARTY, ACT II: DJs Patrick Yu and Mael spin, with visuals (presumably stoner-friendly) provided by VJs 420 P.S.Y.

Voodoo Kungfu: The costumed metallic oddballs headline a night of extreme metal, with thrash stalwarts Suffocated, S.A.W.. The Falling, Ego Fall, Four Five and Saving Molly rounding out the bill.

LIQUID WICKED: A BASS ODYSSEY: Final performance from the Syndicate's DJ Mael, with French liquid dub act Liquid Wicked, Upstepper Soundsystem, Meiwenti Selectors and the Syndicate crew tapped to make this an unforgettable farewell party for the three-year staple of Beijing's electronic music circuit.

Section 6: Close out the month with Beijing's only live hip-hop party, featuring the best of Beijing's live hip-hop artists.

WEDDING PARTY: The Flyx frontman Zhang Yang is getting hitched, and you're invited to participate in the city's first punk rock wedding party. In addition to performing with his band, buddies Cold Case, Rustic and Gum Bleed are also set to wish him well via classic skate punk, punk-tinged art rock, and utterly-fucking-abrasive Oi! punk, respectively. Come for the curiousity, stick around to catch Beijing's hardest working bands. More on these guys soon.
