I am a foreigner, and I think Simplified Chinese is a lot of memorization without true understanding of the language. I only really understand Traditional Chinese. There is more meaning to it, more phonetics to it, and a long cultural history to it. It is the unifier of all Chinese people. Regardless of being a person of the mainland, hong kong, taiwan, or overseas Chinese, it is the one thing you all share, at least the ability to read and understand it. To the people of the mainland, be proud of Traditional Chinese, and preserve it. :)
