    Fox News is a real propaganda outlet, but they're slanted toward the GOP, not the "government." CNN just reports whatever pleases its advertisers.

    If you didnt even got a permit before the interview why should you go there in the first place and forcedly?

    Journalists do not need permits to interview.

    They went because the fact that the guy is under house arrest (itself a dubiously legal punishment) and is not being allowed to speak to anyone is itself newsworthy. Many other Chinese people who tried to visit the guy were actually beaten, not just roughed up or pushed around. I approve of Comrade Bale showing solidarity with these Chinese people.
