Tired of my Greatest Series already ? That's just too bad. Here's another one.Let's reminisce about some of the greatest actors of all time. Join me, won't you? Or you could just go talk about inter-racial marriages or the ideal marriage age. It's nice out, you could also take a hike.

Some might not agree with this list but I'm a Classic Hollywood freak. And if you really know cinema you would agree that these movies and actors were the real deal. The Decaprios & Smiths can never replace the Brandos & Poitiers.

Kill me for not including your favorites.

    Marlon Brando

This guy will always top my list. The man was a professional. He epitomises the art of screen acting. Godfather wouldn't be as great if it wasn't for Brando. "He is the marker. There's 'before Brando' and 'after Brando'." "As a movie actor he has no peer in this generation. That he consistently underplays, yet still packs more emotion into a scene than anyone else, is a sign of a charisma that may be an act of God." The most versatile actor of them all.

On the Waterfront,Sayonara,The Godfather,Apocalypse Now,Julius Caesar,Superman, A Streetcar Named Desire,The Young Lions,Last Tango in Paris,A Dry White Season,The Teahouse of the August Moon,The Freshman,The Wild One,The Ugly American, Burn, Guys and Dolls,Viva Zapata!

    Laurence Olivier

Greek tragedy,Restoration comedy, Shakespeare,American and British drama, the man did it all. A genius on both stage and screen.Olivier was regarded as one of the foremost Shakespeare interpreters of the 20th century. The Lord Olivier is regarded by many as the greatest actor of the 20th century.

    Henry V, Sleuth,Pride and Prejudice, Marathon Man,The Jazz Singer,Hamlet,Richard III,King Lear,The Merchant of Venice,Three Sisters,Long Day's Journey Into Night,21 Days Together,Clash of the Titans

    Cary Grant

Hard to believe that someone as great as Mr. Grant never won an Oscar or Golden Globe, though he was nominated on multiple occasions. Class! Class! Class! That word best describes Cary Grant. From his legendary 30s screwballs to his thrilling 50s Hitchcocks, no one embodied the Hollywood leading man better than Cary Grant. Throughout his 35-year screen career, Grant charmed audiences with his iconic blend of smooth elegance, affable comedy, and flawless physique..You can't talk Classic Hollywood's definitive leading men without Mr.Leach.

Everybody wants to be Cary Grant.Even I want to be Cary Grant-Cary Grant

Penny Serenade,The Philadelphia Story, None But the Lonely Heart,Bringing Up Baby,Gunga Din,Arsenic and Old Lace,Notorious, North by Northwest,Charade,The Awful Truth,Indiscreet,That Touch of Mink

    Humphrey Bogart

Mr. Bogart has probably been imitated more than any other actor. His film characters such as Sam Spade, Rick Blaine, Duke Mantee and Fred C. Dobbs, to name a few, have become woven into the fabric of American culture. His on-screen fights against the likes of Cagney, Robinson, and Raft were nothing compared to his offscreen antics which included several stormy marriages, ongoing battles with Hollywood mogul Jack Warner for better parts, and a dependency on alcohol. For many, though, he will always be the ultimate screen actor whose position as the greatest movie tough guy of them all is secure.

African Queen,Casablanca, Maltese Falcon,Angels with Dirty Faces,High Sierra, Key Largo,Petrified Forest,Big City Blues, To Have and Have Not,Dark Passage,Caine Mutiny,Roaring Twenties

    Jack Nicholson

Here's Johny ! Jack is the man.Gotta love Mr.Nicholson.Other than Michael Caine, Jack is the only actor who has been nominated for an Oscar from the 1960s to 2000s. Mr. Jack shares the honor of 3 Academy awards with Walter Brennan for most acting wins by a male actor, and second to Katharine Hepburn for most Oscars overall. Not to mention the 7 Golden Globes. Quite an impressive resume, don't you think ?Undoubtedly one of the finest actors ever. Though his performance in Chinatown and The Shining was simply superb, he'll always be remembered as Mr. McMurphy.

"The thing I like about The Joker is that his sense of humor is completely tasteless."

You know what, I fucking love Keanu Reeves. I actually feel happier just thinking about him sometimes. He's just...he's just a good person.

It doesn't even really have anything to do with his acting, it's just like...I just know he's a great guy. I just know it.

I am a classic movie freak as well, especially 1940's Hollywood. In my view the classics from that time are far more powerful to watch now because they present the modern viewer with this strange foreign world. That monochrome, grainy reality is now the purest escapism. The heightened speech, the formality of the interactions, the stagey-ness of the sets, the unnaturalness of the costumes combine to create a surreal world that David Lynch must go to great trouble to create now, but that happened somewhat automatically at that time just due to the technology and aesthetic philosophy of the time.

I think Lawrence Olivier was most badass in Wuthering Heights. I also still prefer his Hamlet to all others, with its creepy voice-over.

You can watch Humphrey Bogart very closely and never see even the tiniest glitch in his performance. I would say The Maltese Falcon is my favorite movie if I weren't afraid that all my other potential favorites would get jealous.

Cary Grant just always seemed to play great witty characters. His personae was such that you always took him seriously even though he himself was NEVER serious, even with a gun in his face. He always played the guy who doesn't care about anything yet is always very much enjoying his life. Even in His Girl Friday, you never think he actually gives a shit about the girl. And in To Catch a Thief, even in the face of the world-stoppingly gorgeous Grace Kelly, his is as calm and dismissive as if talking to a bum on the side of the road.

I still prefer Montgomery Clift (A Place in the Sun) and James Dean (East of Eden) to Marlon Brando, if we're talking "method" actors in black-and-white films.

As for females, for pure who-cares-if-she-can-act beauty, Grace Kelly has the ultimate status. Then there is Gene Tierney (Laura, Leave Her to Heaven) and Rita Hayworth (Gilda).
