Kicking things off is the return of old favourite the Yen Fetish Halloween Party (798, Fri 28), where PVC-clad nurses go to dance, drink and pass out. DJs Mickey Zhang, Yangbing and Eddie Lv are among the faces behind the decks, but this is a sure thing for sweaty clubbers battling rubber rashes and ball-gag cramp. This now legendary bash will, for the first time, take place in the impressive new premises of Lantern (see feature). How it will fare in its enormous new venue remains to be seen, but with DJs Elvis T, M Ross and Weng Weng behind the decks for the night, we’re eager to find out.

Battling Lantern is Punk’s plucky Infused Halloween Party (Sat 29), which has good DJing credentials in the form of Mickey Zhang and Ou Yang. But we’re holding out for D-22’s annual Punk Karaoke Night (Sun 30). If we can’t scream Back in Black at the top of our lungs to a roomful of pissed-up rockers, then it just isn’t Halloween.
