How about you explain how you want the Karma function to work in the Forum and we`ll take it from there :)

By the razor-sharp talons of Raptor Christ, if I've explained it once I've explained it a million fucking times. It's exactly the sort of thing they use at Slashdot and Reddit.

Every forum topic, post, image, image comment, and bubble gets two buttons and a counter displaying a variable which starts at zero. This is the "karma" variable and it can be a positive or negative integer. One button is a "thumbs up," one is a "thumbs down." Each unique user click adds one or subtracts one from the counter, respectively.

Then you set a range. Let's say any item where "karma" > +10 gets a gold star 牛 displayed next to it, to make whoever said it feel special. But when "karma" < -5, it gets hidden behind a script that says "Not relevant" 傻.

Every user also has a "global karma," which is the sum of the karma values of everything they have ever posted. This value should be kept hidden and visible only to moderators, otherwise it'll turn into a karma-whore pissing contest which I will win because my troll fu is strong and my e-peen is massive. But it'd make moderation easier, as you could quickly distinguish between kickass motherfuckers like Dando who produce A++++++ MVP VIP (gold star) content, and sad sacks of shit like Joligne, High Priest and Ayiela.

It's okay if God doesn't believe in Dando, because Dando doesn't believe in God. Dando only believes in retribution.
