Perhaps owing to my time spent on 4chan, I abhor people who are deliberately cruel to animals, particularly cats, and I take exquisite delight in seeing cat-abusers becoming victims of a human flesh search.

And even though in the springtime of my youth I was a dirty-hippy-peacenik-feminist-socialist-gay-rights-anti-racism-activist, I've always loved eating meat. I'm a skinny bastard, and if I didn't eat so much meat I'm afraid I'd waste away. Christ. I don't even cut away the fat when I eat prime rib. That's how much I like eating the flesh of other critters. Maybe I'd try eating human flesh, too, if I could be convinced that a person wasn't murdered to make my meal.

I think that we can improve hygiene and humanitarian standards at slaughterhouses and meat processing plants without proselytizing to people at the dinner table. There are exceptions. Bushmeat, shark fins, monkey brains, foie gras, and veal are luxury foods that often involve excessive cruelty or environmental destruction.

Not that I said humanitarian; animals don't give us the same considerations when they eat eachother (or far more rarely, us). We must remember that all animal rights activism should be a means to the ends of improving quality of life for humans.

  • Simen Wangberg

For every animal you guys don't eat, I'm going to eat three.

I can't actually take credit for that particular bit of wit, but I use it anyway.

Does this mean we should all be veggies? Well I find it worse when those vegetarian restaurants name their dishes like XXX CHICKEN or XXX FISH. It's a very shameful reflection of their desire for animal meat. But personally I don't want to and cannot be a veggie. I'm all for that idea though.

Easy...Okay....Um by that sentence I meant their desire for animal meat is shameful, not that I think not eating animal meat is shameful. I'm not a veggie myself either. But like I said, I'm all for the concept.

well, xiao, teaching begins by teaching yourself first....:)....i guess first you should become a veggie....sorry...no offence....

to others,if you don't eat meat, how will you compensate for body's demands for proteins...???vegetables are not a good source of that.....

  • №❶ Passioη

You wicked bitches. You come here to talk about caring about animals when you can't even care about humans. Normal courtesy is difficult to achieve between you and other humans which you regard as "Ok to discriminate"... because they're not smaller than you, they don't look like you, they're not as weak as you, they're not light in skin colour as you would have prefered them to be, etc...

But you still have to guts come here and talk about unfairness to animals. Bitch!

  • Trine Andrea Skari

@Hoot.....those stuff doesn't satisfy  your need for Iron as DARA mentioned.....

you need to get meat to maintain the hemoglobin,,,,,as DARA mentioned......or you will find yourself in ER or OR.....:)

It's not about being veggie, human beings are parasites ...

We fucked up everything for our own benefits and we will never stop to.

This planet won't get better until the last human dies.

  • Trine Andrea Skari

even though there are certain vegetables which contain minute quatity of Fe.,but thats not enough....

@.rOkOlOkO.....its so nice of that volunterer to save 500 DOGS but he could also had spent that moneye to help the poor.... human rights are more important than rights of 500 DOGS.....right??? but i still appreciate this effortt....:)

well, green poo means your digestive tract is in a mess and/or your blood cells are broken down more rapidly.....you guys can google it....:)

  • Sara helene Engli

It's funny that people save 500 dogs while a country like France or England kills 4 billion animals a year.

What's the difference between cats/dogs and cows or pig again ?

Again, because cats and dogs are pets.

  • Sara helene Engli

Again, because cats and dogs are pets.

So they are better than other animals that we eat ? The others deserve to be killed ?

My personal opinion is that going 100% vegitarian or 100% meataraian are both unhealthy. The best is to have meat and fish with a lot of vegetables in addition. This is the most healthy diet becuse this is what we've been eating the last thousands of years.

And if eating animals is a moral issue for you because you feel guilty about killing animals, here's an interesting fact: Many animals, birds and insects love vegitables too, and what do we do to keep animals away from our farms? We spray the fields with chemicals that kill or intoxicate not only insects, but also animals like mice, squirrels, rabbits, and birds who all thought they just found a food paradise. We also put out traps, fishnets and others to kill any animal that threatend our crops...

If you love animals, focus on the ones that are threatened by extinction. And trust me on this: Cows and chickens will NEVER get extincted as long as humans are around.

.rOkOlOkO: well,is it those children's fault that they are born in poor family or mentally disturbed society????haha

Animals eat each other. We are simply extending to them the same courtesy.

That said, carnivorous bastard though I may be, I do know some vegans--people who eat no animal products at all--and some of them are very healthy, healthier than meat eaters, but only because they are nutritionists or otherwise recipients of special dietary education.

All nutrients originate from non-animal sources in the first place. If your diet lacks a certain type of animal protein, it's just going to take a bit more energy for your body to put together a few amino acids to synthesize that protein if you aren't scavenging it from an animal carcass like "normal" people. But there's nothing your body needs that you can't get from plants or fungi.

Raising livestock is also a terrible burden on the environment, but I think this could be mitigated through reforms of the agricultural industry without drastic changes in lifestyle.

I consider animal rights activists as fellow travellers and worthy of solidarity, as long as it is not the only political issue on which they are active.

the best way to solve all the problem is to synthesize all food we may want to eat, then no more killing, and no more farming. Livestocks turn to be wild, farmland turns back to forrest.

So, just because we eat animals and this world cannot a good place? It's not like we eat cats or something, it's a whole balance thing . Animals eat animals. Tigers eat rabbits. Tigers could eat people if given a chance. And the world wouldn't be a better place until the last tiger dies?

    BEHOLD

I had this twice when I was in the US. It's a sandwich with two fried chicken breasts instead of bread, with cheese, bacon, and mayonnaise inside. It's so fucking mighty and meaty that you become sleepy after eat-y.

I call the phenomenon of fatigue that comes with eating it "Double Down Syndrome".

Big, greasy chunks of meat on a sharp stick. Jam it in your mouth - fall in love. I know this is hardly a revelation, but for me, it's more like being born again.

My other favorite item at US KFC is this huge bowl of mashed potatoes covered with corn, gravy, cheese, and fried chicken chunks. It's like prison food, but with so much MSG that it's like a big savory orgasm in your mouth.
