Personally, I like the parks and the wide roads in Beijing; The night life in SH is quite exciting.

I prefer Beijing by a long shot. Everything, especially night life, in Shanghai is too pretentious for me.

The only area Shanghai can top Beijing in is weather. Other than that, Shanghai is a sterile, lifeless town. It's an OK place to go if you you want to get out of China for awhile, but I could never live there. Too fake and shallow.

It is too cold in SH in winter at home. The air conditioner doesn`t really help to give u enough warmness. It also rains too much sometimes it is ok because i like the rainy smell and the air is so fresh. Sometimes if u want to hang out in a park or outside, it is really not convenient..
