My friends and I plan to make an action art performing in UCCA next month. or let say, a experimental drama, semi improvised with a fixed topic: Voyuerism and Privacy.

It gonna be a semi-action-art and semi-drama, with installation device. The topic focuses on contemporary voyuerism phenomenon....candid pictures, cyber manhunt, sex-topic blogging....bla bla bla...

So here it is. We've already invited several characters quiet famous in this witty little cricle in beijing: rock singer, model, photographer,  journalist, artist.......

BUT...we still need some outsider viewpoints...like a student, a preacher, porn actress..whatever. Especially we need a foreigner.

you must: be talktive, relax....if you can speak a liitle bit Chinese, much better.

So, anyone who is interested in performing in an action art...contact me

PAYMENT: NO. ONLY FEE FOR TAXI. anyway, it is only an art activity. we just make it by ourselves and for ourselves....

Wow, this sounds really cool actually. I have neither the time nor the improvisational ability to take part, but I'd like to see it when it "occurs". Whereabouts is the UCCA?

actually no need to have so-called abiliy to perform or improvise...just need someone can totally be-yourself. what u need is to talk...talk...talk and talk....

  • Joakim Berg Solum

Me! Yuki, you know you want me for this... that is if I will be in Beijing at that time...

Hey just came across this, sounds great Yuki. UCCA is a cool gallery. i know this Japanese performance artist here, she does sex themed stuff. i haven't seen her work only some stills. i think she could totally do a porn actor performance. you want her contact details ?
  • Yuki Inés
    Yuki Inés wrote:

Thanks, Iain. But can she speak in Chinese?

by the way, you been to the thin house ?

  • Yuki Inés
    Yuki Inés wrote:

yep...I've been to the narrow house. funny...but if talk about the recent exhibitions, i prefer Yu Hong's exhibition.(The painting on the ceiling.)

but Iain, our action plan has nothing to do with porn actually...and we only offer performer a comparatively small space to just do some talking ...

ok, well it's a little hard for me to understand exactly what your after without knowing your plan... if you tell me more, maybe i can help you. yeah i like the thin house, also yu hong's work but i didn't have much time when i was there last. did you see the 'feelings are facts' installation last month. i really enjoyed that. like walking around a dream.

feelings are facts... Yansong Ma actually is quite famous in China. so of course I saw it...it is kinda interesting but i dont really like it coz it reminds me a lot the pollution. and we feel totally suffocating....:(

my friend fell over in the exhibition room because of the heavy smoke and the leaning ground....when she back home, she just realized all the smoke there was kinda oily and destroyed her favorite trousers.

Ha, funny. Yeah that Olif guy is also huge, his work is so interesting. Yeah it was kinda hard to breathe in there, i didn't think about the pollution side of things. you know i really like work that is completely experiential, that takes away the safety of 'reality' and disorientates and confuses. and i think for good art you should be prepared to lose your trousers : )

errrr...i prefer installation beautiful than experiemental in this point..coz good concepts always go through a beautiful carrier, but experiements without limits would possibly become stuff without concept indeed..just like joking around...

I am quite conservative indeed..i guess.

Anyway, will explain you later about the project and see if you can give us some help :) thanks.
