How much should I charge these people?
Oh shit DD. You're in rare form today.
huh? hahahaha ... unlike COOL, I have not been drinking anything ...
So the job is for Foreign Language Press, which pretty much has a monopoly on making textbooks. Plus they're desperate and doing the recording at the last minute--I'm making corrections to their script on the fly as I read it. However, I'm not working directly for them, but through a contact with a training center in Guo Mao. They don't want to pay me more than 200 RMB per hour. In fact, they tried to say it'd be 200 RMB per hour after editing, but I was having none of that shit.
What's the polite way of ditching a worthless middle-man agent in the middle of a job? I've already dropped my contact info with the people in charge of recording.
I would suggest you just talk to the guys you're working for, and tell them you can help them find more people in the future...
Obviously, don't mention it to the worthless middle-man.
I already exchanged my contact info with the FLP people, under the guise of offering editing services so that I don't have to fix the grammar mistakes as I speak. The agent watched me do that, but didn't say anything.
I'll see what I can do.
