    Beijing Playhouse (www.beijingplayhouse.com), China's English Broadway Theatre, presents such family friendly shows as Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls, Neil Simon's comedy The Odd Couple, Love Letters and the annual production of Charles Dickens' heartwarming holiday classic A Christmas Carol.


    Kids Theatre Camp

    Between productions of main stage shows, Beijing Playhouse directors and actors organize kids theatre camps to expose children to all facets of performing arts. Students age 6-13 learn acting, singing, dancing, prop making, costumes and set painting. Each kids theatre camp runs for one week, Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm (summer camps are two weeks). All camps end with a show on the closing Saturday afternoon. There are currently four camps scheduled throughout the year: Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall. Kids theatre camp shows have included Alice in Wonderland, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Peter Pan, A Christmas Carol, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Monkey King.


    Kids Theatre Camp Manager

    Be part of the fun of teaching live theatre to children in Beijing. Beijing Playhouse Kids Theatre Camp Manager will: 1) Recruit students to participate in the theatre kids' camps. 2) Coordinate all administrative aspects of kids theatre camps. 3) Identify additional locations to teach more kids theatre camps. 4) Recruit and schedule teachers to teach the kids theatre camps. 5) Other duties as assigned.


    Requirements

    Successful applicant will have excellent event organizing experience, marketing skills, customer service skills, and be very good at working with children. Theatre experience preferred, but not necessary. Must be available during all scheduled kids theatre camps.


    Hours/Compensation

    This is a part-time permanent position. Position pays 4,000 RMB to 14,000 RMB per camp depending on the camp and the number of students enrolled. (This is 10% of total tuition.) The position is full time during the camp and in the two or three weeks immediately before each camp. It is about one day a week between camps.
